A Wigan community has given their postman a 50th birthday surprise during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Family and friends on Withnell Close, Springfield wanted to show Royal Mail postie Jason Priestley how much they appreciate him carrying on during this time.
Organised by his wife Sharon, she posted notes, a party hat and party blowers through doors.
With it being a big birthday and it taking place during lockdown, Sharon wanted to make his birthday a little bit special and create some memories.
So Jason was met with a surprise at 5.30pm on Tuesday (May 5) with family and neighbours singing happy birthday in the street and joining in from from their front gardens.
