TBF our office has made a lot of changes to help with our safety including late starts to reduce numbers in office. As for letters still getting a s**t load. Parcels overwhelmed with them. On good note most customers are happy. More I can say for a well known supermarket that wanted to stop me using the toilet.

why are we seeing this guy turn up on here again ? hes clearly some local nutter and has a vendetta against anyone who causes his wayward biking swerving all over the place to actually get him on the side of the road.

Yes, his YouTube account sure has a few clips of him avoiding collisions while he's cycling. Perhaps he lost his car license and has had it in for drivers ever since.

Funniest thing I've seen recently was a cyclist slowing right down to negotiate a roundabout .... waiting to let a car past ..... slowed down so much he didn't have time to twist his foot out of his clip ons ..... and he just fell over sideways onto the verge! :left: Luckily it was a grass verge so he didn't hurt anything ... apart from his pride. :cuppa
Like all Wage Slaves, he had two crosses to bear: The people he worked for and the people he worked with! (Stephen Vizinczey.)

Today was one of the worse for parcels that ive seen in a long time. Its like we have come back from a weeks strike. Ended up with 4 packet bags on a HCT route. Total nightmare.
Still ALL the mail went out. There was no streaming at all. Ended up cutting 1/3 rd of the frame.

Next week is going to be hell for parcels. :pray
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

I reckon we're the unsung heroes among this country's essential workers.

Never seen anything like today before, absolute madness. DOM said when I got back that the parcel figures today were the highest ever recorded.

It was INSANE today. Done 6 Xmas's now at RM and today was the worst day I've ever seen for parcels. Absolute joke with this O/T ban. I have ZERO good will left so every day I'm back in the office in time to sign out bang on finish time. I don't care anymore. If not a single letter goes out due to a 'packets first' policy, then that's 100% RM national managements problem. Time was I'd think how s**t it is for people not getting birthday/Easter cards (loads left today), but not anymore.

Well Rico's diktat works even if his manager's don't. Trouble is how can you lock down a nation of consumers? You cannot they will order online as we know while this is good for the revenue of Royal Mail it is bad for the staff!

Yes. You'll be taking your wages home in wheelbarrows of cash which might just about buy you a loaf of bread ....if you can find one.
Your delivery will become an extreme version of Rollerball.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

I don't think that will happen. I think once Boris is fully recovered by the middle of May they will be reducing the restrictions. I would go with keeping a lockdown in the major cities though as other countries have done such as London & Manchester.
