Have you been to many tribunals lately?Postie45 wrote:C'mon guys they're not sacking people for being off on coronavirus.LaggyBand wrote:Not sure I’d want to rely on words like “expect” and “vast majority” in a court to get my job back.POSTMAN wrote:No, why would you, it's in the red text. Not only would the tribunal come down like a ton of bricks on RM for this, but it's a PR disaster in the making.
I get that RM management isn't always 100% up front and honest but I think they have no choice to honour this stance.
Johnny is on a stage 2, Johnny has an appalling sick record ,he's been on the sick many times, his mates call him `sicknote` and the managers all have a sweepstake when he's going to be off next, he then goes off as his `partner` thinks they have it, Johnny then comes back to work and has triggered a RTU, manager from another office looks at his sick record and asks his Dom about him ...bye bye with the lines of it's not that we don't believe the absence was genuine, it's just that he has been unable to attain the relevant standards required and I have no faith that giving him another chance to improve his attendance will benefit the business.
And if you think RM give a crap about PR you've obviously never had to deal with Mr Peacock their expert lawyer who charges 200 quid for a 10 minute phone call to his clients to clarify their names on a court document.
