Should cardboard sleeves be withdrawn, till after this crisis has abated? Can they hold onto the virus from others?

Anything can hold on to the virus it is just a matter of how long but given that you're surrounded by surfaces capable of being contaminated by the people around you they don't pose any more threat than others and given that they are porous probably less.

Wash your hands and don't touch your face.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Only 24 hrs?
Well that's OK then.
How many hands touch a cardboard sleeve in 24 hrs and how many of those hands could be contaminating that sleeve during those 24 hours?

Every surface is potentially continuously contaminated. That's all you need to know. Work on that basis.
