In Italy the postal service is seen as essential so deliveries and collections are continuing throughout the lockdown. I'd imagine that we will be the same.

Our company are probably seeing this as a business opportunity ie people being at home being paid ordering goods online for us to deliver

The last week or so has been noticeably busier than it has been of late in our office, and I can’t see that letting up as increased isolation comes into practice. Yesterday was on par with some of the Wednesdays and Thursdays I’ve worked in recent months.

I wouldn’t even begrudge the powers that be potentially seeing it as a potential profit booster if they’d crack down on presenteeism and suspend the disciplinary process for anyone who takes time off to self-isolate per government advice. Issue those guidelines and relax expected arrival times for anything other than Specials and Tracked so that any office particularly badly hit can run a scaled down operation until it's back to its usual capacity.
