New Delivery Procedure: Deliver to Neighbour?

Post by ssdd »

Haven't heard any official take on Deliver to Neighbour with the current delivery procedure. Anyone still doing it or not doing it?

I had same situation. Neighbour was a nurse. She got me to sign for it and leave it for her neighbour. She thought people should not be visiting hospitals and OAP homes. As someone walking with a compromised immune system I agree no one should be having any extra visitors?

Why order then? but if the s**t hits the fan then the neighbour could be a life saver or shopper at least for those who have saved those endless journeys to the mail centre.

So everyone who orders must remain at home at all times until they recieve their mail :left: does anyone who orders anything actually work.

Ask RICO that but as to neighbours do they also not work I find your attitude condescending of those who take parcels/packets in for them they could just as well tell the delivery person to f**k off as has happened with me on occasion not nice when your just doing your job!

Is there more potential to be spreading a virus if we are trying neighbours?

I didn`t knock any neighbour today and I won`t until the situation calms down, if we have to keep our distance from customers for our sake and theirs, it`s valid for their neighbours too, plus it`s awquard to knock a neighbour and ask him/her from safe distance to take a parcel in, why shall I risk causing them getting or passing the virus to their neighbours?

739`s every time until the pandemic dies off.

Yeah, I'm with you on that Janet. Just thought it would be interesting to hear other peoples views...interesting also that RM haven't mentioned anything about it...

Let's hope that's ALL we're killing off! Actually had a couple of people say today that the new delivery policy is a good idea. In fact I think everyone I saw today was quite understanding.

We were instructed *not* to deliver to neighbours.

No doubt that advice will change when the first time delivery stats fall...

When I asked the DOM about this at the briefing this morning he said the same procedure would apply as for delivering to the recipient. Maybe we need an official statement on this...Is it ok or not?

Trouble is with royal mail it has to go up to the top where is the top guy well for one he ain't in London the thing is with this guy is he likes to think he's in control but is not his only hands on the business is buying shares and lot of share's! But the guy at the top don't know the business has been raped to death in the past so he keeps buying shares as you would do an still does to this day the question is why and he wants a return on his investment alas we are talking to the dead in the head MANAGEMENT ROLLING OVER AND OVER!

In the current circumstances would you want to receive a parcel from a courier (RM or anybody else) for a neighbour who can't be arsed answering
the door at half nine on a Saturday morning?
