I agree about the £100 per month should only be carrying over less than the price of one share but if you look at your account you'll find;
17/12/18. - £113 was spent.
15/04/19. - £113 again.
17/06/19. - £114 in June.
16/09/19. - £115 in September.
Another kind user near the start of the thread explained how Royal Mail payroll gives the money to Equinti at the end of the month and the shares are purchased roughly two weeks later.
It all made sense once I'd read it.

macphee1 wrote:I phoned up about this a couple of months ago.Apparently Equiniti take/transfer our deductions on the last day of every month and in between these days our weekly deductions are held by payroll/ Royalmail, probably earning interest. Equiniti then use the money they take to buy shares on the 15th of the next month, ie Equiniti take the money on 31.01.19 and use this money to buy shares on 15.02.19, again probably earning interest. Equiniti can only update our contribution record when payroll transfer the money and they buy the shares.Using this month as an example, all of our contributions after 25.01.19 will be held by payroll/Royalmail until Equiniti take them on 28.02.19, and buy shares on 15.03.19. Only then will our contributions/deductions be updated,and only up to 28.02.19.wacko74 wrote:My Feb allocation isn't showing up yet and also according to the website my last contribution date was 25/1, so not sure why my last 3 contributions aren't showing either.
Anyone else have similar issues?
(The contributions are still showing on my payslip, so not sure where they've been going!)
It took me a while to get my head round,and I was over an hour on the phone, as I was convinced I was getting screwed over.

That does make depressing reading, I've been making max contributions to the sip so far but I think it's time to call it a day.
I've no intention of actually selling up, I'll hold what I've got, but from where I'm standing Rico's vision of a leaner, more efficient RM able to beat our competitors on both business running costs and standard of service offered to the customer looks a million miles away to me.

Obviously I don't want to see our pay and benefits ''cut to ribbons'' but equally it's ludicrous for anyone to think that RM will remain a viable business in the face of the competition in the parcel sector, also equally ludicrous when people still talk about us being a ''public service'' and that the 6 day USO should remain in place.k979aaa wrote:Not to mention your pay and any benefits will be cut to ribbons if your banking on flogging a dead horse to death then go for it!wacko74 wrote:james wrote:I've been wanting to do this for a while now,£100/monthly investment figures since the scheme began.

Some middle ground needs to be found, there's plenty of scope to make RM a more efficient, leaner, more competitive business without slashing our T&C's to nothing better than gig economy workers.
