That's not far off enough for 1 per MC. Don't know if every MC could fit one in, think Truro might be too small

Lets hope not. 79 usable yorks is nowhere near enough for a biggish Mail Centres inward operation.

Greenford MC has one and it is great with clearly addressed easy to read mail. It cannot sort the Chinese packets as it rejects 92% of them back onto manual and struggles with much Tracked Mail because of return addresses. The biggest problem is the fact it doesn't kick out the need to be sorted manual mail right until the end of the shift causing pressure on this area at the end of each shift.

hey, the illusion of efficiency then making the few workers left work even harder than ever...living the dream of the modern robotic AI machine age...THEY DON'T GET TIRED, need a welfare room/canteen/food/bogs./holidays or require PAY/ Pensions/ BONUSES..just their arse wiping by the unfortunate buggers who have to mop-up whatever it kicks out. some gig that...no terms and conditions at all.

Those sound like the ejects which are unsuitable for the machine and so are thrown down the chutes by the staff on the belts. These items should be sent to manual during the shift and not stored on the machine. Sounds like poor management to me. The same with No Reads and Rejects which also go back to manual sort.

Most of the york's are f****d so the machines will soon be damaged beyond repair by their own lack of investment in the system we don't need Luddites with the actions of the CEO and his minions!
