hello! 1st post, delivery postman from rickmansworth, 25% overpaid, 40% underworked? Seems the Royal Mail management disregard the fact we were encouraged to use own vehicles, job and finish for their benefit as well as ours. Insufficient pouch boxes, vehicles, overweight pouches, disregard for health and safety issues, etc etc as long as mail is cleared, we've been our own worst enemies, starting early, no meal breaks, own vehicles, running, jumping walls just to get home early or that second job. Crozier & Leighton should spend a few days trying to do our job with the equipment Royal Mail supply, maybe they would then realise the mail service is underfunded, without adequate equipment and is running on the goodwill and hardwork of the average postie, destroying the morale of the workforce will not make the service any better, and l get soaked to the skin when it rains, weatherproof clothing that works would be nice. could go on for longer with all the other daily problems we face, despite that, l take a pride in my work and put the customer first, oh to be appreciated.
