*Standing at the door absolutely soaked*

Here is your mail, sorry it's a bit wet.

Why is it so wet!?

It's raining.

Well, can't you keep it all in your bag!?

The bag is as wet as I am.

Well, you should do something to stop people complaining!

Your the only one that has complained.

Bedding in a new prep, plan, Dom is on week off, stand in decides to employ his own highly personal interpretation of the prep plan and f***s everyone right off. Rep is off with Monday morning disease, people go home ill. Come back rep we know you're untrained and unmotivated but at least the Area answers your call and texts.

Oh c'mon, guys! Seriously!?! Maybe keep a bedpan in the back of your vehicle or tow a portable toilet on wheels when you're doing your rounds.

Sheesh! Weirdos.

or do you just carry on walking up to the house/owner to hand over the post like the dog isn't there?

Is there anyway to calm these dogs down so they know you are no threat?
At first I used to go in if it was small or used to stand near it to see how it would react. But it’s just not worth it, even with the round I’ve been on a while now and I know the dogs, if it’s out mark it off as dog loose and try again tomorrow. You’d never forgive yourself if you got attacked
I used to carry a chisel when I was on the walks. No teeth getting near me.

I use those clear polyethylene Royal Mail bags to hold my bundles when there's a downpour. Works a charm.

You might want to try with a large Apology Bag to carry the bundles in. Trim off the sticking strip so that the plastic bag doesn't seal.

I always reply to people who moan about their mail being wet to phone the office and tell the Dom that they no longer wish to have their mail delivered when it is raining. Had no takers yet.

His round must be a beast ! doesnt even have time to stop and finish his piss and has to walk and pee.
Also is the guy who uploaded this REALLY complaining ? the postie saw no ones about and takes a piss on public land. I think its less moral to upload such a video and pretend youre holier than thou.

This is another one from last year in which a United States Postal Service mail carrier urinates on someone's private property. :d'oh! :no no

I don't typically try to leave parcels with a neighbour....but one neighbour in a flat opened their door thinking i was knocking on their door so I asked them if they'd take a parcel in....their irritated response...

"No, cos that's not my parcel or apartment".

I think that verifies why I don't try neighbours....

I think I have asked 3 times so far. One was reluctant and 2 said no.

I find it pointless because if you leave it with a neighbour you still need to fill a docket in. Waiting for both addressee and a neighbour and on top of that writing up 739 is way too long :D

We do have an option on the PDA to fill in a 'leave with neighbour' window but in the end it comes down to trust. If you have spoken to or know both occupants and they know each other and are friendly then it's good to go. If I am delivering on a walk where I don't know anyone then I don't leave anything with a neighbour. Too much can go wrong and in the end the buck stops with us posties. Its not worth the hassle or risk.

The volume of packets was just insane. It won't be long until every day is like this if the growth in packets keeps increasing!
Because the mail never stops. It just keeps coming and coming and coming. There's never a let-up; it's relentless. Every day it piles up more and more and more. And you gotta get it out, but the more you get it out, the more it keeps coming in. And then the barcode reader breaks and it's Publishers Clearing House Day...!
