Depends on the general economic outlook.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It more depends on how much longer the shorters are going to keep targeting the RM share price.

They have more influence and ability to manipulate the share price downward than anyone, regardless of what news and trading results actually come out of the company.

TBH what's good for the share price is going to be bad news for the work force. As profits and efficiency drives the dividend and the price , so if they can get fewer of us to work cheaper and faster = more profit , bigger dividend , higher price. Or a take over bid by a another company wanting to do the same.

Not necessarily in that if RM got more business we have more secure jobs and probably more actual jobs. If we manage to leave the EU then the fake competition DSA structure can be dropped and we could maybe leave the GDPR regulations as well. We need the government to enforce the minimum wage requirement as well to stop our competitors paying their staff well below proper wage requirements. Self employed status was never meant or designed to be used for firms to employ regular staff. In short there is not a level playing field and RM is operating in an unfair competition regime.
The views I express here are mine alone and do not represent the views of Royal Mail Group.

I can see us being sold, the share price at the moment is very low so it would be a steal for the likes of Deutsche Post who are leaders in delivering packets (profit wise)
