Today,
Manager rings, asks if I am available and says Angard will ring me within 30 minutes to offer a shift this evening.
30 min later : “Have they ring /text yet?”
Reply “No”.
Text arrives 15 min later and I hand on for 20 minutes.
When Angard answer they immediately cut off the call!
When I ring back the recorded message is “No shifts”.

During this time, Manage has texted me to attend at 17:15.

I arrive at work for another text from him to start at 18:15.

Manager says”Ring Angard.”
Angard day “Not our problem. Shift is filled.”

AngRd let slip that my MC has a pool of 200 Casuals and that they were asked to supply 22.

I keep getting told by everyone that Angard are not allowing Managers to book in shifts with workers anymore.

No shift offered to me for 3 weeks now and I am told Angard keep recruiting new starters at my local mail centre. This is from a mate who works for the RM.

10 new starters today as an example.

When will this madness end ?

That's just kicked in at my MC so there is a move to block direct bookings. It's an instruction from RM senior management that all casuals must be booked via Angard. We only started getting direct bookings because Angard pissed off the mail centre managers by sending too many new starters at once for shifts. I'll see how it goes but if I have to rely on Angard for bookings it's probably time to find something else.
