Why are Tracked always prioritized? Is it because tracked is linked to the DOM's bonus? and also because tracked parcel volume shows on the system for high management to see?

It's more likely to be the fact that we would lose major contracts if we fell below a certain % delivered on time.

Lose enough contracts and it'll be the manager that loses his/her job.

The performance of tracked items is our future as a business. If we can't deliver on time then we will fail. As more tracked start appearing I imagine we will start to see more consequences for failing these items.

Protect yourself, always make sure you scan em at the doorstep.

But apparently it's ok to fail 'normal' parcels.......

It’s probably because once tracked items are scanned into the office a lot of customers get an email/text to let them know it will be delivered that date and all are viewable online. Other items don’t have any info until they are delivered so there would be nothing to confirm it reached the delivery office so the management couldn’t be done for failing it.

It's a vicious cycle, though, when the public notices only Tracked items are shifting. Then we end up with this Christmas and almost everything is Tracked. Now the failures are inevitable.
The machine stops.
