Saw the following notice taped to someone's door yesterday: 'No parcels not for this address will be accepted.'
Still can't work out if that means they will or won't accept neighbours parcels.
Decent day overall, rain held off and finished at 3.15.

The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Badly worded but I would imagine it means they will not accept parcels for neighbours. I wouldn't recommend leaving parcels with neighbours unless you have spoken to them before and think they are friendly and get on with each other. Can cause big problems for both you and them otherwise.HTPostman wrote:Saw the following notice taped to someone's door yesterday: 'No parcels not for this address will be accepted.'

Don't know where D2Ds are in the pecking order for what gets loaded onto a lorry from the MC to DO (I don't work in Distribution), best guess is that the lorry was blown out and so the D2Ds got left behind. This time of year some DOs are going to get weeks where the D2Ds arrive lateewancurze wrote:D2D's didn't turn up today and got off the IPS at a sensible time so decided to take absorbtion......Oh look, there's 3 days worth of it!

Got royally jerked about, taken off the usual, put on another, then another that neither of us knew well enough to rearrange, d2ds were stupidly big, out late, balls up after balls up, back well late. In tomorrow for the usual argument about overtime.

A bit tiring.
I must be getting old.

Started the day in key locker. Sent out on dely at 11am, worked my time, cut and ignored the guilt trip of what about the customers mail. I have learnt my lessons the hard way and now do the job to spec. They can ask for more but won’t get it.

yeah what about it ? is what id ask the managers, theyre the ones responsible for it, not us. If theyre THAT bothered, nothing stopping them delivering it themselves if no other posties want to do it.Buttons42 wrote:cut and ignored the guilt trip of what about the customers mail.

Total and utter exhaustion from my 5am alarm wake up to getting home at 15:20.
Was like a walking zombie all day. Sweating and shaling whilst knocking in my mech at the thought of the day ahead of me.
Worked out ive walked 96 miles in the last 8 days, including 438 flights of stairs climbed (according to my iphone app).
On my long weekend now until Tuesday. Already dreading the 5 days in a row next week.

Was really busy today (09-11-2018.). I think Christmas may have just started. Lots of marketing/catalogue type stuff and quite a lot of packets/parcels.

Today is usually a heavier one, but it was pretty light and I was so confused (given Christmas is meant to be happening!) that I went to check AGAIN if there were any more parcels for me. There weren't. Strange how it all works. Been told that I am staying on my route to Christmas, as i'm new and on a training route and I am meant to be a reserve which kinda begins any day now.
I'm pretty tired though, day off tomorrow which has come at a good time.
