Dear Colleagues

JOHN BASKERVILLE – Former Branch Secretary and Area Div Rep

It is with regret that I write to inform you that John Baskerville passed away a few days ago after losing his fight with cancer. He was a long-standing member of Midlands No.7 Branch as a Branch Secretary from 1992 to 2005 and as an Area Delivery Representative from 1992 to 1994.

He will be sorely missed by members, colleagues and friends within the union and the wider labour movement.

The funeral arrangements are as follows:

Date: Thursday 30th August 2018

Time: 10.00am

Venue: Bradwell Crematorium, Chatterley Close, Newcastle ST5 8LE

The family has requested that they would like either tributes or a donation to Stoke Winter Night Shelter.

All our thoughts are with John’s family, close friends and colleagues at this very sad time.
