In October I assume agency workers will also have the 1 hour reduction to 38 hours incorporated into their shifts. Currently the agency, where I am based, are contracted to work a 7 hour 45 min shift (38 hour 45 min week) . This includes unpaid breaks.

We rarely work anything that vaguely resembles full time hours, but it’s always been the case that after 35hrs40mins overtime rates kick in. So this will likely have to be recalculated to reflect RM’s new full time hours.

I have had experience of Angard & the vagaries of shift allocation. Depending where you work, & usually who you are!!, shifts can be obtained regularly.
The new agreement indicates joint resourcing reviews may change the current situation re agency & casuals.

As a part-time RM worker I'm getting a rise in the hourly rate, it could be that Angard AWR workers get the same. Would be simpler !

I am also part-time & as the hourly rate increase applies to us as a 2.6% pay rise so it will for AWR qualified agency.
The example I gave of a daily 7 hour 45 min shift (38 hour 45 min week) for an agency worker would mean 45 minutes above a 38 hour week. So I cannot see how agency would have a longer shift/longer week (5 days). . or am I missing something.

Because agency staff do not get paid breaks, a 7hr45min shift is only a 7hr15min shift - so if working the same hours over 5 shifts, the total hours an agency staff member would work that week is 36hrs15mins. So already the working week doesn’t correlate - this is apparently the reason overtime rates kick in earlier for Angard staff and the reason their hourly rate is higher.

The agency where i work have to complete a 7hr 45min shift to take account of the higher hourly rate for the unpaid break. This way I believe AWR qualified agency achieve parity in pay with RM staff in working roughly the same hours.
Currently full time RM; 5 x 7hr 48min = 39 hours p/w
