LTB 185/2018: Attendance procedure - Update

I'm off sick for two weeks because my wife just lost our unborn baby. (Got sick note) been off two days and just received a letter for a meeting tomorrow. This is the last thing I need right now.

First, of all may I offer my deepest condolences.

Second, get in touch with the rep, any rep, and get the meeting postponed. Any decent rep should lose their nut over this gross invasion of private grief, and any sensible manager/human being would have realised that and made sure the meeting would be towards the end of the 28 days, not 2 days in.

Any decent manager would be ashamed if they acted like this. Royal Mail you train your manager to be automatons unable to think for themselves or place stuff into context, and its posties that are suffering.

Got in touch of the rep already. He his going to ring me later on. No matter what I wont be going in. It's the last thing I need at the moment. Thank you for the quick reply.
