My reference RD958263756IN states my delivery from India has been at HWDC since March 9th 2018. It is a small package from a relative . Is it usual for inbound mail to be 'stuck' there for over 3 weeks? Are there any current issues effecting things. Previous deliveries have taken a week or two at most.
When contacting RM helpline they have not been able to help so any advice on here is greatly appreciated.

It may be stuck in Customs, but you normally don't get a status like that if it is, so I am not sure.

Thanks tbt, the exact wording is ' your item ref... Is currently progressing through our network'.
A different tracking site says it arrived at HWDC Langley on the 9th March.
Is it just a case of waiting for it to clear customs, I've heard this can take 2-8 weeks
Cheers

That would be progress if you live near Longford. However, when I look up that number it shows as being at Langley.

A long wait may be due to the contents. What is inside?

And when I ring the RM helpline Iam told that 20-25 workings days is a 'normal' delay. Does this sound plausible ? Cheers

20-25 working days shouldn’t be normal but it sort of is. None the less, most countries will let you claim for loss once 25 days have passed. This does not affect whether the parcel arrives or not.

Nothing wrong with the contents.

my post is from 30.07.2018. on HWDC Langley. My tracking number is RC442740278HR. I wonder if I have to be worried about my mail? I'm wondering if my mail is lost or my mail will be finally delivered?

If it's any consolation I have a package that arrived on Sunday September 9th at Langley from Indonesia that is still showing as "This item has been received at LANGLEY HWDC, United Kingdom. More information will be available as it travels through our UK network."

Mine is just sent via international airmail so I presume I don't get any further tracking once it's entered the country. However it is taking longer than usual and I see yours is still sat there so presumably they're under more strain than usual.

I'll just sit tight for a couple more weeks I suppose.

You need to claim for loss as it has been more than 5 weeks. What did you send?

My reference number is RF158575023ES. I paid extra to be sent from Spain URGENT. (3 DAYS) with my driving licence inside. The cut off day for delivery is tomorrow. I have tried 4 numbers to call hwdc Langley. The envelope was posted (signed for) on 5 December. Stayed in Spain till 11. Has been in Langley now for two days. I stand to lose a lot of money. Even the normal is 3-5 days. Why is it being held there. I really don't understand. I cant even phone. NO NUMBERS WORK AT ALL. WHO CAN I TALK TO.

Sorry, we get this all the time, we aren't an official Royal Mail website so we cannot provide assistance directly we can only offer advice.

There is a link on our main Customers page about HWDC I have copied it here

there are some useful links there that you can use to chase up Royal Mail directly.
