Thieves struck at Morrison’s in Tamworth
Up to forty parcels have been stolen from a delivery van in Tamworth.
The thieves struck at Morrison’s petrol station in Hilmore Way yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon with police now appealing for witnesses.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "Did you visit Morrison’s petrol station Millmore way, Tamworth at approximately 3pm on March 14? Did you notice anyone transferring parcels from a Yodel van to another vehicle?
"We are appealing for witnesses following the theft of 35-40 parcels from a Yodel delivery van.
"Officers think that given the number of stolen parcels, the offenders must have a van or similar sized vehicle due to the number of parcels taken.
"We are appealing to anyone who visited petrol station around 3pm on March 14 and witnessed anybody transferring parcels from a Yodel van to another vehicle to call 101 quoting incident number 501 of 14 March or, for guaranteed anonymity, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
