Exasperating!
Questioned over why I brought mail back yesterday, despite following procedure and hissy fitted at for again following procedure and telling them I'd be bringing even more back today in order to finish on time due to personal circumstances they are well aware of.
Today was the busiest I've ever seen it, worse than Xmas... presumably because the snow days internet shopping were unexpected and there is quite clearly no other plan in place other than "we expect you to complete."
Looking forward to tomorrow, when I shall be finishing on time again and bringing their mail back. It's not my mail. At three o clock I've got family matters to attend to and that undelivered mail is not my responsibility as I see it.
Shambles.

It's probably going to be really busy everywhere well into next week as the next couple of days there'll probably be loads of flowers and Mother's Day cards coming through the system. Council tax forms have also got to be due soon as well

Your postman wasn't kidding. York full of overweights, mail bulging everywhere and packets all over the place. On top of what we've brought back the past few days.
Management hiding in the office shrugging their shoulders and asking what we suggest. Unbelievable. Left half our duty on the frame and still only just managed to finish on time. Got back to see everything we'd left still where it was, so tomorrow is going to be s**t as well.

If you fold it in half without creasing them that's fine they spring open once there inside the house, I have some small 4 inch letterboxes I can get a stiff A4 in easy

Saturday will be worse with all the flowers that will be going through the system. Hopefully the council tax forms won't come through until Monday, if they come through inward MCs tonight then i wouldn't be surprised if inward MCs just walk sort instead of walk sequence to make sure that all Mother's Day cards make it through to DOscrimson king wrote:Your postman wasn't kidding. I'd like to say stick with it, City Boy, but I've got a week off coming soon and I think a large chunk of it might well be devoted to finding something else job wise.
I've had a horrible bloody week. The amount of petulance, pouting and veiled threats I've witnessed this week has been absolutely staggering. It was all I could do this morning to drag myself through the DO doors. Ten minutes later I literally tossed a coin as to whether to walk out again.
Chin up and all that I guess, hope it gets better for everyone, but I'm not holding my breath. Left half a duty in that'll be waiting for me Monday and I've heard rumours from upstream that there's more coming next week.
Get your tin hats ready people!

Awful day. I know RM received our council tax letter Tuesday. So why didn't we receive them till today
. Got rid of the whole lot today to get them out of the way. Bloody knackered when I got home.

Never mind one wave, we went to three wave on Saturday.
Some people haven't had any post for 5 days.
And on the day before Mothering Sunday the "DOM" decided to fail shedloads of packets to prioritise letters.
Gone to the dogs? I am surprised we aren't at Crufts.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Was the most boxes of flowers I have ever seen arriving at our DO on Saturday. Shops are really getting a kicking at the moment with ToysRUs, Maplin etc going into receivership recently. Going to be a lot more people unemployed eventually.
