My collection was crazily heavy today. Number of bags from each Post Office were at least double of that normally on a Wednesday. Christmas is coming!!!

But to look on the bright side, I cannot wait to celebrate Christmas with family and have three days off :Very Happy

We had absorption brought back today because we have a lot off sick,(DOM on A/L on a Saturday, surprise surprise),to get us out early enough to do it we had a "Controlled Carry Over" situation on the sorting (loads of packets, letters etc left). So what happens Monday when volumes will be up again plus Saturdays left overs? All our managers sod off home at 11 on a Saturday leaving us to pick up the crap.......GET THEM OUT ON DELIVERY.
In a previous life I used to be a manager,we were expected to set an example,in first, home last, sort out problems etc,for which we were paid well.
Come on RM,stop crapping on delivery staff.

dead right, the whole manager situation is corrupt, ours even go to pub when we are out, unless an audit is due. Until they set an example why should we!

Like many offices we used to deliver all the Amazon stuff, then they took it back in house with white van man and his dodgy doorsteping antics :no no .
That left us to deliver some small stuff apart from when they suddenly cannot cope with the amount of packets they have so dump them back on us, today was one of those days. :evil/mad

Spent the day delivering excess packets that didn't get done yesterday. Apparently the person that had been doing excess packets had his day off changed from Saturdays to Fridays... That person may or may not have been me :arrrghhh  :Applause

Today we cleared all our backlog of packets & Parcels that resulted from no delivery on Monday & Tuesday due to the ice and snow. Finished delivery about 1615 - 1630 on Wednesday & today then did about 30 to 40 minutes of sorting Letters into my frame. Tomorrow we will be delivering most if not all of the letters/flats from today AND Friday on Friday along with the usual bumper pile of christmas-style Parcels.

Seemed to be a lot less cards in the nine post boxes I emptied on my walk today so maybe most people have posted their cards now. If so I think there will have been less cards posted this year although it isn't easy to judge.
