can anyone tell me what happens to my pension after 45 years service

Under the current DB RMPP scheme yours and RM’s contributions would stop when you reach 45 years service. It would then effectively be deferred until you take it.
However you may remember that we received letters about what the pension scheme will look like after April 2018. In one of those it stated the 45 year limit would not be applied from April 2018.
