chromium05 where's the H&S in all this!!!
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

H&S...
I cant stress enough... H&S is paramount here....
The pictures of packet bags and boxes left in a tight working area is just WRONG... When the people are there throwing off it looks like a accident waiting to happen...
Get your local H&S rep down there and find out IF its safe to work in such conditions???
ONE BROKEN LEG or worse is one to much!!!!
DO OUR JOB THE WAY WE SUPPOSED TO... THAT MEANS H&S RULES TO BE ADHERED TO ALL THE TIME../.....

Not sure mate. The union rep took his own photo's on Saturday saying they were to be passed on to H&S. All the aisles are like this now.POSTMAN wrote:chromium05 where's the H&S in all this!!!
It's become a cycle of sorting until 8:30 - 9am ( from 06:15 ), prep until 10:18 when the managers make us bag up and go out or prep until cleared and then bag up and go out - usually about 11:30 - 12:30. An endless cycle of undelivered mail and cutting off. The thing is, the managers know that we are all working to rule and there is nothing they can do. If we don't go out until about noon, we get them asking if we will complete and we say "no". They then ask how much we will get done in the time left and you show them approx. a third and they push for more. We say "fine. but at 13:40 I stop and bring back whatever is left".
It is killing our DOM. we had area managers in twice last week questioning why there was so much mail around and why there was 40 yorks of mailsort in the carpark.
H&S need to come quick. Not sure how to contact them tho....
