Still worth asking about jobs in person?

Being a non-driver, I've found myself automatically ruled out of every vacancy advertised where I live.
It seems as though every postie requires a driving licence to even be considered. However, I still have hope of eventually securing a position as a non-driving postie, or mail sorting.

Would you guys consider it worthwhile to visit my local delivery office in person and introduce myself to the manager?

I understand that Royal Mail seem to recruit entirely online these days, but I wonder if managers of delivery offices have any influence in hiring staff, or if it's all HR.

If managers have any say in recruitment, I would think that a branch visit would be worth it, but what do you guys think?

Not at the delivery office, there are no non-driving roles now for them, even the indoor staff, few that there are, also need a driving licence.

Mail centre would be a better try as they have non-driving roles or try for any other non-operational roles
