How is "Pensions Contrib. Pay" calculated?

Post by cheerful »

In the top right corner of our payslips, it has the "Pensions Contribution Pay", but I've never been able to work out how it's calculated.

Seems like it's always a few pounds less than the gross pay, or about 5% below.

How is Pensions Contribution Pay calculated, and why is it always a few percent off gross?

The nerd in me needs to know :hmmmm

I’ve never been able to get my head round it either to be honest as it seems to be different for everyone, despite earning the same.
But friend of the forum nataddick, did contact HR a while back and gives an explanation in this thread: https://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communi ... 27&t=70490" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
