Can't get interview?!

Post by mtj94 »

Hello, I recently applied to my local Royal Mail (10 mins drive to the office) & I feel with my skills and experience, I am very suited for this role. As I am only 23, currently work at Morrisons Car Park so am already required to walk alot, in any weather condition and can work alone or in a team.
But anyway, after 13 days after applying I get an email saying 'Thank you for applying for the role of ____ - Postman/Postwoman with Driving - Delivery Office (Place Post code) .

"Unfortunately on this particular occasion your application has not been successful.

We appreciate that this may be disappointing for you however it may be that your skills are more suited to one of our other roles."

What would the next steps be to hopefully securing employment with this company?

Also, the other thing is.. I also applied for a Christmas Casual role, before this vacancy came up which I was accepted to, and I was wondering whenever this'd help me secure a postman job.. or, what are the chances of me getting something out of this after the contract's up?

All you can do is keep applying, persistence is the key as others have said on other threads.

Being a Christmas Casual will help as it will get your face known, more so in Deliveries rather than anywhere else, but when you have done it add it to your CV it will help.
