I'm due my long weekend this week and before I left today i noticed they've changed it to this coming thursday instead.
I'm tempted to go in Thurday, play dumb and say I'm not changing my weekend plans. Ugh, this job is so frustrating :mad

Yes I would go in and act dumb and say you made plans now anyway.

Been covering a walk for the last 2 weeks which is also the longest I've stayed on the same walk, I take my hat off to you who walk the same walk, day after day, year after year, I'm feeling mind numbingly almost brain dead. Roll on next week :arrrghhh

Not any longer. There was a temporary limit when they were first put into measured workload - but not any longer.

Why?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

We get a delivery supplement of £28 which equates to about what 2.5 hours pay a week.

So logically the additional Indoor work and delivery should equate to 2.5 hours work.

I ve got about 800 calls on my frame, If I do a Sixth a day ( My float will put one days in hopefully) then that's 133 to prep everyday. Is that really achievable in less than half a hour for times 8 D2D.

Yes I know there are some weeks I will have Zero so I suppose it averages out, but most weeks its at least 5. There should be a limit!
Most In our office are taking D2D home to prep or coming in Early for No pay. We really do ourselves no Favours.

You cant cut off D2D as you are contracted to complete them in that Week.

There is no logic in your post.
You make the beginner's error of equating the Delivery Supplement to a D2D payment. There is no relation.

If I have 10 sets of D2d then the time to collate and prep them, the weight issue on delivery etc has to be taken into account and added to my workload.
My start time and finish time remain the same.
If I can't complete my duty in the time allotted then either I or someone else gets paid overtime for it.
More work puts more hours into your office. If you want to limit the number of D2D then you don't want those extra hours?
I don't get an extra 2.5 hours work of D2D because I get a Delivery Supplement.

Far too many bulky d2d "catalogues" from the German purveyor of groceries.... What next, "Laminated Books of Dreams" d2ds for a high Street catalogue shop?

I get it . I receive the Delivery Supplement whether there are 10 or 0 D2Ds, My colleagues on Collections also get it. Therefore its not included or seen as hours in the days duty. It is as it says a supplement.

But how does it work in Practice? My duty is Say 2 hours IP then 4.5 hours delivery with a 40 minute break. If I Have to spend a substantial part or my Indoor Prep time doing D2D , then there is more chance of me needing to cut off or agreeing to overtime.

If I ve not cleared my frame of the D2Ds by Saturday , then I m in the shite with the DOM!

I would be the last person to advocate any hours being taken out off the office! But surely especially at this time of Year. Planners must know that 8 D2DS on a duty is just going to lead to failure?

What exactly is the Delivery Supplement then? I really did think it was linked to D2D. Is it a legacy payment that they are after now in the current negotiations.
