I got offered a xmas shift work and was wanting to no when I would get update from the security vetting I have always passed this type of vetting before for other companies so should not be an issue I am N Ireland though and dont see it noted in my job profile?.

I noticed it actually showing Pre-Employment Checks does this mean the security vetting has started?.

How long does vetting take I had a court case way back in 2014 with my brother nothing serious was told by judge didnt have to include on app forms after 12 months might that affect it passing.

I don't need to know what it was but its also hard to be specific.

However, although the judge may have said that it becomes a spent conviction after 12 months, this doesn't mean you shouldn't declare it.

In fact, it's better to declare it as if they do find out on the background check, and they can for up to 6 years, then they may take a dim view.

Also if the conviction is minor and not honesty or theft related then because you have declared it, it may become a non-issue.

For specific Northern Oreland rules see https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/in ... -about-you" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Royal Mail do Standard Checks as far as I know.
