Step 5. Information required.

Post by jwelton »

hi all,

on 13th September I got an email saying I missed some info on my security checks. I basically done it the wrong way round... oops.

I have updated 3 times now and it still says on my job management that information is required.

I have sent an email back saying that I have updated it so that they know I want the job but I haven't heard anything back and now its the 19th and It carry's on to say that I need to update information.

I don't want to miss this chance.

did anyone have problems like mine? or that can help me.

thank you :Very Happy

I am assuming recruitment will update the status once they get back to processing the application (as you may have updated the details but they will confirm that they are correct)

I am in a similar boat. I did not give my mothers full maiden name when I provided the details for the security checks and so received an email asking to update my profile or send them the details by email (I did both just to be sure). A week later my profile still states "Information Required" and I just had a call from Recruitment asking if I had received the original chase up email, when I confirmed I had actioned it immediately I was told that was fine and she was just doing a standard chase up and that someone should be revisiting my checks soon.

They are always very slow at updating anything.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I missed my phone call and tried ringing them back multiple times but they wont ring me back or call answer the phone!

been waiting over a month now for them to get back to me.

That may be the same chase up call I had when I had already updated the missing details (as RM contact said it was a standard chase up triggered by the initial missing info). My status has now changed from "Information Required" to "Pre-Employment Checks" so looks like I have passed the initial hr checks before my details go off for security screening and I have just received an email to confirm this and asking me for my photo (copying in my Manager at the Delivery Office I am due to start in). Seems to be taking ages (as 2 weeks ago I thought i was going into pre-employment checks but it looks like missing some info off does cause a further delay even if you correct the missing info straight away) but the end does appear to be in sight! Keep the faith !

Silly question maybe, but from where would they verify whether your mother's maiden name is correct? I ask because my mother's maiden name being non-english can be spelt in different ways, and don't know where she might have used it in the UK, if at all.

Finally just got the confirmation email.

Just sent of my photo to the manager so hopefully won't be too long before I start!

It was because I only put my mother's maiden surname down when they required her full name (so my fault in providing insufficient info!).
