Why's that? Most people would accept that a business with a £multi-million turnover would have a figure head on a very lucrative remuneration package.
Focussing on her is pointless; if she left tomorrow there'd be another just the same to take her place, and as RM is no longer a concern of the government, they can pay her/the next one as much as they like.

Stopping quoting cliche'd nonsense like "old orders are crumbling" would be a good start.
Business have always, and will always pay bosses far in excess of the workforce, and to believe that will/could ever change is on the level with the of old wossname Corbyn trots out.

We now all live in an age with the ability and know how things work and no longer can employers hid in their ivory towers or spout lies and meaningless statistics as today's pension illustration or yesterdays letter of a promise not even negotiated with the union promises are regularly broken by royalmail. Time's was an employer was trusted not these days with the dog eat dog kill postman attitude of senior royalmail management we don't need dog pegs for the dog's on our rounds it's for the attack hounds of royalmail Tilley and co probably better off with Tazers or cattle prod's though!

Because its lead by example. If she is telling us that the business cannot afford a pay rise then why should she get one? If she is telling us the business has to reduce our pensions because its not affordable. Then why should her pension not also be reduced?

Greene’s salary was unchanged at £548,000, and she received a £200,000 contribution to her pension. Her £43,000 benefits pot includes a car allowance and flights to her native Canada.

I was focusing on his point that we are making a stand not just for us but for future generations do I want my kids being wage slaves and dropping dead at work....? Do I F#ck some people literally love to be walked over in life

I made a similar point on another thread about future generations. It is natural to compare your situation to others as is the case with part-timers who quite rightly are aggrieved they miss out in comparison to full timers in regard to holiday & pension contributions which are only related basic pay. This is despite agreements being in place for employees hours to be reviewed every 6 months “To increase part time contractual hours to reflect the hours actually worked & planned”. It is apparent this is not happening in many cases.

So the two tier workforce continues along with the two tier pension scheme which is bound to create tension highlighted by recent post saying he could not afford to strike as he was part-time so was going to vote no in the ballot.

It maybe true to quote Tman “If she left tomorrow there’d be another just the same to take her place, …, They can pay her / the next one as much as they like”. But does not necessarily make it right & whether on a large or smaller scale the disparity is evident.

I believe at the very least employees are entitled to fairness & the union have stated this week a determination to make PT up to FT, where warranted, & discuss enforcing the holiday average pay issue.

If she ever manages to push this poorly thought out new pipeline through she will be remembered as Moya The Destroyer.

I hope and doubt she will be with Royal Mail next year as I feel she is being primed for a major role at EasyJet.
