Parcel Force Customs Clearing Agents - Coventry International Hub

Post by caricky »

Hi,

Just wanting some information on timeframes really.

I have a parcel on its way to me from the US which is currently in customs.

It arrived in the UK on the 4th Sept. Last tracking update shows 'Awaiting clearance- information needed from addressee' on the 4th Sept.

I then received some forms to fill in on the 8th Sept to send back along with my receipts. I duly did so, sent it recorded, which was delivered on the 11th Sept.

My question is, what is the timeframe now?

As of today 14th Sept, no update. How can I be sure the forms I sent back are in the right hands.

I've no problem waiting, as long as I know it's in the queue to be processed. Just don't want to get to a stage where the goods are sent back to sender.

Thanks.

It shouldn't be sent back to the sender as its outside Royal Mail control. From what you've said it's being held by Customs and they'll pass it on to PF as soon as they are happy with everything.

Unfortunately, while Customs have it there is no tracking. However, as soon as it's passed to Parcel Force they'll scan it appropriately and then hopefully you'll have it only a few working days later.

In the extremely unlikely event, it is returned to sender, even that will be visible on the track and trace.
