Hi,
I sent an item that I sold on ebay 20/6 and when the buyer said it hadn't arrived I looked on the track and trace site. It was showing there as unsuccessful delivery and sitting at a Delivery Office. I told the buyer, supplied ref etc and checked it several times over the next couple of days as the buyer kept requesting refund. Yesterday they opened a case with ebay and won because now when you go on the site and enter the number it says "Status: Sorry - we don't recognise that reference number.". I rang the 0345 number but she said her computer was playing up and she had no more info than me. I don't undderstand why it's gone from showing me the details of it to saying this - is it a computer error? Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks

Tracking problems.
Unfortunately, this is a recurring fault with Royal Mail's tracking system. It usually comes back on within a day or so. When it does, take a screen shot of the tracking and try again with eBay.
If that doesn't work, you need to complain to Royal Mail.
