Ralph Ferrett on the future of RM pensions
The unions vision in this version is to have us work till he state pension age and to keep rising as it does. It's called a pension if you are lucky enough not to drop dead before you can claim it. It plans to have more risky investments and to not rise with inflation in lean years. Personally it's not for me and if Royal Mail agree to it, if I scent danger I will withdraw all of mine before they can do me any damage.

The CWU’s proposal is that your pension from 2018 onwards would have a NRA of state pension age. But you would still be able to claim it anytime after 55 as you can now but with reductions. The current RMPP up to 2018 would stay the same as now.stephen500 wrote:The unions vision in this version is to have us work till he state pension age and to keep rising as it does.
