Pay more for less Pension?

Post by k979aaa »

Well this is just not good enough and the reasons are so lame for the closure of the DB scheme 1st why was the government allowed to seize the assets of the final salary scheme with great detriment for those who are now in the DB scheme? 2nd How can a pension scheme be so badly run it is un-affordable after 9 years of it starting? 3rd Why is it in trouble when it has a surplus and are they ROYALMAIL running it down so they can off load pensions so they can sell the business for a bigger profit at our expense! 4th How can we ever trust ROYALMAIL ever again with our futures when they as a business/company/service let us all down so badly. 5th If it is good enough for them at the top why do I have to invest in a pension which is run by arse holes so they can live of my back as parasites whilst MOYA GREENE and JON MILLIDGE rub our noses in it and probably don't pay any tax? 6th Why am I and YOU paying MORE for LESS something stinks and it is not your wet soaking boots at the end of the day!

Well said.

All the staff in our office can see is a £750 (taxable unless re-invested) carrot, not the extra that they will have to pay each week for less pension!

I had to double check when I saw the increase to the pension contribution :left:
Let's screw them with their pensions and get more contributions, this will more than cover all the past pay rises they have worked so hard for and cover the pensions for those that have already left then once the dust settles we can go after their terms and conditions :left:

Some members of our union said it will not happen as the "consultation process will stop this" Well it did not last time I said you only need to look up the Rape Of Our Pensions thread on here but even I know we cannot stop this. We can only mitigate this for the benefit for all who work for Royal Mail and in doing so protect our hard won rights. If we don't fight this all rights sick pay job security annual leave and even union representation in the workplace will be eradicated by the most corrupt management regime in the western world!
