Cold and crazy busy, only just got home, having left a row in the frame.
It's supposed to be pretty chilly tomorrow, I hope to god it is not as busy!

Coldest start for a while. I saw - 5.6 c driving in. As expected mashed by packets and parcels. We coped ok though.

Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Utterly s**t day, hammered with packets. Had to leave a York of oversized and still went way over.

Colder than yesterday, had to thaw out in a warm bath when I got in, barely any earlier than yesterday while leaving the same section.
I hate this time of year, partly the weather, but mainly how it shows hows how ridiculous it is to have HCT duties of ~500-750 delivery points in areas where people live in affluent detached/semi-detached housing; where most people work Mon-Fri; yet they order loads of items online which cannot fit through their not-fit-for-purpose Victorian letterboxes. While if I push the trolley around everywhere and filter the working bundle of mail while standing still, like we are supposed to, straight away I will take ~60+ minutes longer than every other HCT-using OPG in the section and I will be the one with the lino's target on my back.

For our shared van, 18 bags of mail and small packets instead of the usual 10, large packet driver took 3 complete yorks of large packets from our area and the Lino came and asked if we would take the late large packets, another 3/4 York !!!
We both refused and still went 1.45 over
Lino said they will be there for you tomorrow!!!
1/ We would refuse again
2/ Were both day off!!

Anyone else noticed that left handed people don't struggle to sign as their hand can't rest on the screen? Maybe they were del boy knock offs designed for left handers lol.

18 days to go and the situation can only be described as chaos. Cut offs piling up, roads not going out for days. Yorks of packets getting left. It's not even the busy period yet. No planning and too many cuts, the season of goodwill? Not in my office, they caused the bloody mess, they can deliver it.
