Council tax through wages, how much will we lose if cash in shares

We are thinking of cashing in our shares, need the money with Christmas coming etc, but we have our council tax taken from wages, we were wondering if any one would know how much we would lose and how much we will be left with, we're taking it that as council tax comes from wages we will lose share ,only as that's paid through wages, any help would be appreciated, thankyou

We're OK, was just wondering if it's worth cashing our shares or if council will take the majority share

Council tax will work out how much you need to live on for the month and they will take anything above that amount

I got behind on my council tax and they done an AOE. They took £600 off my share money but I had paid quite a bit of it before the attachment. Its now paid off which means no more to pay until April. Infact the council now owe me money because of a continuous standing order I've had in place for the past 2 years.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
