And us that decided not to will hold them till 5 years or keep them as a long term rainy day fund and pocket the dividends along the way
Assuming the company doesn't go bust in that time and they become worthless. Obviously, I am not expecting that to happen but anything is possible in stocks and shares. It is a gamble either way. Seriously, in the last month I have never met so many experts who have never had a share of anything and that includes me in my life. If you seriously think you are going to get rich by keeping hold of 600 shares in Royal mail you are deluded mate.
If you sell now it's 2 grand, if you sell in two years it may be 3 grand, it may be more, it could be less. The only thing I know is, we will continue to get shafted to pay for it.
Most of the financial geniuses in my office will be investing their new found wealth in Fixed-odds betting terminals and will also turn a hefty proportion of it into urine.
It is this kind of astuteness that has forced them into cashing their shares ASAP.
They will now hope that the share price crashes so they can gloat and tell people how clever they were for cashing in early.

I can't remember claiming to be an expert or saying they would make me rich but with the maximum I could invest in the share save the combined total is nothing to turn your nose up at!
I've got plenty of other shares in my stocks and shares ISA thanks.
I don't get the personal comments when I didn't pass judgement in my post just a fact that those who sold on day 1 will probably do the same each time a fair assumption I thought and not a dig we are all entitled to do what we want with these shares
Milly's tag is aimed at her office and those that sold them early for, in their estimation, spurious reasons. Not those that made a considered decision to cash in early. For some the right decision was to cash in early, for others it aint. But for sure wasting it on betting machines or drink is a waste, however you look at it.
