That was a s**t hard week. Brutal in the extreme. If the next few weeks are anything like that, absenteeism will go through the roof, and no bloody wonder, too.

Busy week with Wednesday being mega busy. Late finish most days. Yesterday I picked up two lapsing loops on top of the row I'd prearranged. Got back late, only to find a mates car still in the yard. God knows what time HE finished.

Our DO already has more than 10 posties off sick, with heavy post most days, ever increasing packets and mega post Wednesday - with almost everyone refusing savings, people threatening to cut off if they had to take large packets, and one Lino visibly emotionally stressed in my opinion. This Saturday there were 5 lapsed rounds instead of the 1 during the week.
Have a nice weekend everybody!!!

Bloody knackering and heavy.

Got in at 8 and told to prep a frame and then told after that to go onto a different frame to bundle up and take it out. I didn't have a clue where I was going as never been on it. (I know it's Wednesday but I've been on something different each day so far.) Manage to get a lift out but I couldn't fit all the mail in my HCT so had to leave it out.

I started delivery at 1100 and didn't finish until 1630. Like I said I didn't know where I was going. I had the other mailbag dropped out to me. One part of the HCT wasn't locking properly which I did tell the manager who dropped the mail off who said that it's okay.

Back tomorrow! I really hope I'm on something I know tomorrow.

They lied to you. It isn't ok that your HCT wouldn't lock. I hope you left no mail in that part of it and walked away from it - that'd be your job on the line, not the manager's.

I also hope that somebody has told you that all overtime beyond your contracted hours is voluntary in RM? Fine if you want to be out until late - I often do it myself when needs arise - but it's always at my choice, not the manager's.

Was forced to go over my time yesterday even though i did not want to and wanted to cut off. A know it all manager threatened to not renew my contract due to the fact that i am not "flexible" enough. Funny thing is im not on a fixed term contract my one is permanent although i still have not passed the probationary period so he may have been yapping on about that. Had to oblige on this occasion, i know what he said wasn't right but have to get through these few months on a clean slate before I can start to cut off/ work to my time

Worked my day off. Just got back in time, before they locked up. Not in tomorrow, so a slap up meal and drinks with friends later, followed by several drinks. :Very Happy

The only witnesses were other managers. Everyone else had already left the office at that point. And tbh i do not want to pursue this any further i just want to keep my head down and do as they say until my 6 months probation is up then if he tries this again i will put in a grievance. The other managers including the DOM didn't want him to even conduct this little 'chat' as they mentioned to him that its not necessary. But he went ahead anyways to try and "teach me a lesson" that cutting off can jeopardise my employment at this company. :mad

think you'll find you're on probation for 12 months & not 6.

A day of bulky D2Ds with what seemed like a pen and a coaster in them...
