It's all the fault of the banks.....as usual.

Deutsche Bank shares finally climb after falling to a historic low as fears for Germany's top bank wipes billions off the FTSE 100 after Merkel rules out rescue

It may be a broken link, when you click on more information it gives the real time price.

It appears there is a pattern of share price dropping at this time of year and steadily going up after Christmas

Prices could be falling as the market is bracing itself for a big sell off by RM employees who want to donate to govt coffers. No one is going to buy atm they will in 2 weeks when they drop substantially. I'll keep mine as I don't need the money

I fully agree with your analysis, except... I actually think, if markets generally are not down due to non-RM-related reasons, the price will fall before October 15th, and perversely, rise as employees' shares hit the market from October 17th onwards. This is because the stock market often anticipates a sell-off of shares or a company's bad set of results, and when that sell-off or bad but not disastrous profit figures are unveiled, the price actually rises!

Now is a time, for people who can, to BUY Royal Mail shares, at 486.2p or lower.
The price will recover in the medium term.
With a potential 22.2p in dividends over the next 12 months, where else can you get a 4.566%* return on your savings, and a possibility of capital growth too ?

*you'd need an interest rate of 5.7075% on a traditional bank / building society account to get the same return, when allowing for having to pay tax at source on those accounts.

Jeez, I just had mine cashed-in as part of my IHR 2 weeks ago, received £5.20 for each. Timed that right then!
