In the unlikely event that my partner and I died in the same accident die i.e. plane crash for example.
would anybody get any of our pensions.
I assume lump sums would go to next of kin....
thanks

Double Death
It’s possible your main RMPP/RMSPS pension can be paid to your children if they are below a certain age. More info can be found by looking at the ‘guide to death benefits’ here: http://www.royalmailpensionplan.co.uk/s ... an/library" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The value of any Flexiplan, Bonusplan or RM Defined Contribution Plan you have will be paid out to your estate.
If you haven’t already done so, I suggest you fill out your ‘death nomination forms’ available at the same link as above. And also make or update your will if you haven’t already done so, it’s frightening who your money might go to if you haven’t got one that’s up to date.
You might find this interesting: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/pers ... -will.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And there’s an online calculator you can use too: https://www.gov.uk/inherits-someone-dies-without-will" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hawkey,
Asking a question like that is tempting fate.
You've not both got a holiday abroad booked for this summer, have you ?
