I know it's easy to say this from the comfort of home but I would in no way tolerate a 'raging at' tomorrow or the angry phone call you got. Your OT is not being paid, therefore why in the heck were you back 40 mins past time? And you told him you'd do it when you got back? I hope you said 'if I have time to do it'.

I said if I had time. They are hard to deal with, not just me but everyone in office isn't getting ot( apart from managers friends and spouses).Tried to get everyone together to all finish on time the same day which would prevent people from getting singled out. Problem is everybody is too scared to do it. You've got the early finishers pressuring you not too aswell so they don't get sent out with extra when they get back. So much favouritism it's unreal.

Example- managers buddy gets to do a walk with a htc. finishes duty and gets to go home with no extra.( he doesn't drive)

I do the same round ( we both are on same hours) i get a van with all the parcels and 30 mins worth of businesses on an industrial estate aswell. Management phones and wants me back in time to do a cage of parcels left at the office. I get told there's no reason it should take me past time. The round was timed with a htc, I can't possibly do the 1.45 ,mins extra within the time. Told its a performance issue if it's going to take longer. Not sure how to argue with these guys to be honest, they kind of make my life even more hellish if I disagree. Should I just quit? This place is nuts

Like I said, it's a helluva lot easier to say this from my armchair than in reality but I cannot imagine getting into arguments with managers about anything, let alone about what I can't do. I can only turn up and do my best. What I am unable to do in the time allocated is a manager's problem, in my opinion.

Sorry, I am no help to you. I would tell them to do one. I'd probably be fired if I were in your office and they'd have lost a damn good worker.

Whenever i cut off i tell management its their problem not mine. They get paid more to worry about it.

I have a great auto call recorder too

if youre thinking about quitting at least give them a fight. How long have you been in the job ? sounds like theyre using the tactics they try on new-ish people. I assume youre in the union ? If youre union rep is never in you need to raise this with the area rep, put it in writing and point out EVERYTHING you have here. If everything you say is accurate then there is a huge problem of bullying at your office. If youre feeling stressed and its affecting your personal life include this in the letter. This CANT be allowed to continue and im sure it will carry on until someone does something, like i said if you are thinking of quitting anyway you dont have much to lose by raising all this and taking it as far as you can, youll probably come out of it with a much more satisfying job.
Also in the meantime keep a log daily of all these bullying tactics theyre using, and all the times they dont pay overtime. Itll help your area / union rep out.

Sounds familiar to our office (but then again, I suppose it is everywhere). Favourites get looked after and the ones who do the work gets shafted.

Unfortunately you're right on co workers too, too many moan but have no backbone to club together and fight.

Dividing and conquering, and they're doing it well.

Finished, just on time, with extra double lapsing.

Annoyed that some walks got finished 2 hours earlier than we did. :evil/mad

Why? You get paid the same whatever time your colleagues finish? Worry about what you do and leave your work mates to get on with it that's their business!

Yeah, the lazy parasitic c**ts in the office will need to order more ice buckets to chill their drinks if this heat keeps up.
