its only 4 days since this revision and the place is about to erupt complete shambles loads of people finishing 2 and 3 hours over their time

So they voted this in what a bunch of turkeys they are when Christmas come's they will be right at home STUFFED without a leg to stand on if their is any of them left by then let this be a lesson don't fall for management bullshit about hour's and job's!

Speaking to a fellow postie in the Renfrewshire area earlier today and he was saying that this extended delivery span is being put to all the offices in the west of scotland area. He was saying that the CWU area rep is "more than keen" to see this put in place.

How is a 6 hour delivery achievable? If you don't mind me asking? What are the logistics? Do you walk in, bag up and go??

I've heard and read all the proposed one wave and new sorting machines in the pipeline.

Of course he's keen....he won't be fecking doing it will he!

Still if he gets to retain doing feck all and going off on joint meetings then that's okay.

its a future plan by royal mail which is to be agreed by the union (but won't, hopefully). these new machines they've got on their wish list are able to sort all the mail and flats and 95% of small packets. therefore eliminating the vast majority of indoor work. if they get their way there will be thousands of redundancies and the duties will be made bigger. its a big bone of contention up and down the length of the whole country.
