Well that was truly a **** bank holiday weekend Saturday!

Makes me wonder if some non-urgent DSA mail meant for after the bank hol was sent early, due to the possible managers action scheduled for Tuesday and then called off.

Enjoy the extra day off this weekend folks!

That was god damn brutal today. Delivered first letter at 10:50, after summer lapsing of course. Never carried such heavy bags and my shoulders are paying for it, seven bundles plus packets in one bag :thumbdown
I asked my partner if we had any trolleys and was told 'I don't keep any trolleys in the van because it slows people down'... Guess it's my own fault for not making sure a trolley was there.

It has been a crap week so far, today we had all the stuff that was streamed out on Monday and Tuesday(so we can absorb) waiting for us after it all being sorted Tuesday afternoon.
I told my Lino that streaming was not allowed but he had temporary hearing loss. I do actually feel a bit sorry for them in our office as this is all being dictated from above and they get s**t from both ends!

According to line manager apparently we can doorstep Sky activation tracked parcels, to ensure they get a first time delivery to improve the stats. And if they get pinched, not a problem as the sky activation packs won't be use to anyone else, the customer can just arrange a new one from Sky.

I think the polite answer to that request is "Can you put that in writing?". If customer not in, and neighbour not in, then p739 it is!

Left office well after 1030, due to silly amounts of manual mail that came off IPS and near Xmas levels of parcels, the look of shock on lino's face at being told I would not be staying out to complete delivery with ~2 hours o/t was comical! :nervous

Now absorbing on Wednesday as well as every other day,we are so short staffed that managers are prepping. One of the absorbtion walks was still being prepped at "Going out time" so the posties took what was ready.....manager still throwing off flats, packets and letters on said walk. Of course the re-directs had not been done but mail was taken and delivered.
Will be a few complaints coming from that I reckon.

Customer comes first?

Yeah right.

Inform union rep or area rep about DOMS prepping walks. Should not be happening
