Hi wonder if anyone can advise me I applied and completed on line tests ,never heard nothing until today ,when an email arrived saying we have added you to our talent community ,I'm not sure what this means did I pass ? Am I getting an interview? Is there no jobs left for the position I applied for ? When I log in it says 'look for jobs' but I have already applied for that area job,there is nothing saying I'm unsuccessful thus time or if I have been successful, can any one help me with this process ....Andy

I can only refer to my personal ongoing experience, which has been/is quite long winded. I'm not sure what that actual wording means but if doesn't include the words 'regret', 'unfortunately', 'unsuccessful' etc etc so fingers crossed its positive and you will hear something else soon.

I applied for my vacancy on 6th April, completed the online assessments the next day, was offered an interview on 18th April, which I attended on 25th. I received further emails stating that I had been successful subject to pre-employment checks and have since provided a driving license code and answered some other questions they have asked. My latest correspondence was yesterday (12th May) conditionally offering me the role but again subject to pre employment checks, which they state will take a further 14 working days to complete. My file for this role has paperwork bulging at the seams so it wouldn't surprise me if your receive numerous other emails in due course.

It looks like the phase "Talent Community" is a new buzz word for Royal Mail.

Their own recruitment site has this gem:

SO I guess it means absolutely nothing except that you are now registered on their database. Keep checking your page every day and it should have more specific information at some point.
