POLICE are investigating an incident where a postman was bitten by a golden retriever type dog outside Balloch Stores in Tullichewan Road.
The incident happened at around 10.40am on Tuesday, January 12 and the dog’s owner is described as being in her early twenties with red hair.
A Royal Mail Spokeswoman said: “A local postman was jumped up on by a Golden Retriever last Tuesday and sustained some injuries, which didn’t require stitches.
"Royal Mail has visited the dog owner and behaviour advice is being given to the owner by Dogs’ Trust.
“We would remind all dog owners to keep their animals under control when postmen and women are out on deliveries.”
