I had got a doc letter and DOM is still saying i have to wear them
You need to get in touch with OH,tell them that you've been to your doctor with bad feet and he has given you a note advising that you wear your own footwear,OH should then email your DOM and you should be fine, did your doctor refer you to the podiatrist at your local hospital?,this is what happened to me,I now get my own footwear from Amazon (karrimor) hand the receipt to my DOM and within a couple of weeks I get my money back,no drama's,when they are nearly worn down, show your DOM and get another pair whenever they are worn down,I have had more than 2 pairs a year.
Does this also apply to mc staff.

Why? if OH assist say that you can provide your own footwear why do you need official documents,I got a copy of the report they sent to my DOM in writing and that's it,I've had no problems with anything as long as you are sensible in your choice of footwear and don't for instance turn up in a pair of clown shoes you will be ok.

Good stuff, also some folk's will say it's only 2 pairs a year,it's not,as long as you show the DOM or whatever that your present ones are worn down you can get another pair,I personally have had more that 2 a year.I feel it is the least they can do because Royal mail are the cause of my foot problems.
