Just about managed to get through yet another gruelling week relatively unscathed.
Feel so exhausted, and the pains in my legs and shoulders are without end.

Yep, I think those of us who have put some years in may well be taking the retirement at 60 option. I know I am.DirtyHarry wrote:Postal workers, especially in deliveries, have to be the hardest working people in Britain.
I have never known such exhaustion, such fatigue, such pain.
And another brutally hard week comes mercifully to an end.

Ditto for me. That will be 17 years time. and 27 years of pensions. Should be ok with this.

Kinda hoping VR is available when I get to mid 50's, don't care what cut I'll get in pension, if I have enough in bank to live off, I'll be taking it! I would like to enjoy life after work, and if I stay till 65, I don't think there'll be much left of me to enjoy doing what I enjoy.DirtyHarry wrote:Same here, mate......If I last that long!heapsy wrote:Yep, I think those of us who have put some years in may well be taking the retirement at 60 option. Typical Wednesday. Meltdown. 2 postmen, from different neighbouring offices came in to the callers office and both said the same thing.

Those tv guides for half the frame were wonderful...
So was the look on the lino's face when I said I wasn't completing deliver at gone 4pm for a whopping 50p extra per hour on Scheduled Attendance overtime rate! I hope someone enjoyed the row I left on overtime, or maybe it is still in the frame and I can be even more ruthless tomorrow.

Great day. Sun shining all day, not too much mail and doing a deep rural I haven't been on for almost a year. Some of the addresses had changed a bit - does anyone else feel all surprised when a door changes colour? It puts me right off my stride!

Good job our section didn't have WTLL today (another section did), as per ~49 Tuesdays per year, otherwise I would be claiming 30mins overtime.
