Number of free shares to be about 90 for FT

We expect that all eligible full-time employees will be given around 90 SIP 2015 Free Shares.

They will receive the same number of shares, regardless of their grade.

Eligible part-time employees will be given a proportionate, or pro-rata, number of Free Shares.

This will be based on their paid hours between 1 June 2015 and 30 August 2015.* If this number is less than 10, their SIP 2015 Free Shares award will be rounded up to 10 Free Shares.

If you are eligible and want to receive your SIP 2015 Free Shares, you do not need to do anything. You will automatically receive your Free Shares through the SIP, unless you choose to opt out. We expect the allocation date to be 5 October 2015.

Important notice: share prices can go down as well as up. The value of an employee’s shareholding will be determined by the Royal Mail share price if/when they sell their Free Shares.

*for weekly-paid employees; and between 1 June 2015 and 31 August 2015 for monthly-paid employees.
