It's a good job it's the summer period when it's light.............otherwise I'd not been leaving stuff behind on 3 of the 4 days this week, can't wait until Christmas when the whole thing totally implodes.

Lol its nice to know others are in the same boat. We were nine day fortnight, but now 1 in 4, so they have lopped 40 mins off our time span. Been ok ish all summer but now and beyond we ain't gonna be clearing every day. I'm down a day off every 2 weeks now so am not doing any favours. Stuff em, they can sort it. Quite happy on 39hrs a week thanks.

Me and my partner got in trouble for not doing the dpf cleaning after our duty on Friday. We were half an hour over our time and both had to get back for the schools coming out. The manager and their little postie pet that checks the vans treated this like the crime of the century

Loads of tracks and recorded packets. Nightmare Saturday.
Who the heck was in charge of getting vans which need regular long runs for Park and loop. Numpty just ain't strong enough. How much overtime is booked waiting for a regen? :Applause

No many flats today, but an imperial wheen load of packets - 3 packet bags for my hct walk today! A fair few of them were multiples for the same address, so was able to hand them over to the packet van driver! Would have needed a double decker hct otherwise.

Bring on the autumn pressure, it has to be lighter than today. I just want to argue more with my lino and take even less out on delivery. I do love the speil and the guilt trip of it all. :Boo hoo!

Well got my first blister!!!, Started at 06.30 and finished at 17.48!!!!! Half the duty hadn't been done yesterday so it was manic. I'd not done this duty before and never used a HCT before, struggled to know where to park it on some bits so ended up coming back to HCT just to take more mail on my loop. Not getting access to flats was a pain as I missed the trade button times. On the same duty tomorrow so hopefully I will be alot quicker. One guy was tapping his watch when I got back but the managers said I'd done a good job. :Very Happy

Thursday and Friday both busy days. Loads of overtime going if you want it. Finished well into the evening both days on parcel overtime. Completely crazy when you think it was quiet Monday, Tuesday.

Worst Saturday ever to end the heaviest light period ever. It seems Royal Mail cannot plan, communicate or provide staff to help on delivery. Feel sorry for people not getting their mail but me and my partner have had enough!

Well, that was another awful week. Seriously, something needs to be done about these workloads. Work related Injuries are going through the roof at our place.

Something that will only drive more and more to early retirement. The union should be ashamed.

Indeed. Given what is happening to workers in deliveries, the union may as well be not there, for all the good it's doing.

Armageddon  2 p&l duties at our office, we received 32 boxes of flats, 4 sequence each and 12 packet bags (not including the big packets and specials) We had to leave 18 boxes of flats unsorted for tomorrow

Wheen load of flats!

Out of interest, i took my etrex 20 gps with me, to see how long the HCT trolley walk I've been on for the past 2 weeks actually is.

9.5 miles including paths. Not too sure how accurate it is though, but it certainly feels like 9.5 miles, with 196ft of climbing, and an average pace of 1.82 mph
