Got done about 4pm with parcel overtime at the end. Very hot and clammy day which made me feel terrible. Seem to have picked up a throat infection and it's agony.

Got home today and took a sip of tea and thought to myself, we returned 2 packets to the cage and one wasn't a tracked yet suddenly remembered I had a tracked one which I had 739'd (Had don't deliver to neighbour :speak to the hand )

Was on a newish walk with someone who wasn't too familar with it either so called my normal buddie who had the number for the guy in the cage and he was still there at 3pm and he checked the bag and found it, things that come into your head when you're sipping a cuppa

Got done about 4ish. Walk plus a small cull section and some parcels. Timed about right by the line manager as she had given me a thumbs up on set hours so can't complain.
Another hot day.

Probably my hardest non-Christmas day, packets and parcels galore and lapsing doesn't help, seems they only take letters into account when assessing lapsing, no time for DTN mind you so I await the moans as our first time delivery on tracks plummets. :no no

A typical Thursday with lots of packets and loads of thick, heavy Laura Ashley magazines.

Usual shambles - started prepping a duty then moved to another one - started prepping that and then moved again! Asked every week to work my day off and they want to take out 1000 hours from my office  , also asked nearly every day to do overtime. Can't escape even when I'm out on delivery - managers hassling me about doing overtime. I think I shall start turning my phone off. :cry Oh yeah absorption every day.

Put on a different duty again today, totally against Atos/OHS/who are RM using this week, inclines, trolley walk etc, so I refused to do it.

Phoned Area Rep, he said I was right to refuse, that started a game of chess, eventually I was asked to do it if they provided a van, which I agreed to.

As I left one of the lino's asked if I'd got my lapsing.

Replied " No, I wouldn't have time"

He intimated that he would see me when I got back.

My parting shot was, "Can't see you hanging around after 12 just to see me".

Most peculiar. Customer came out her house not long after I posted her mail, and asked if I'd open a jar of jam which had a tight lid. I guess that counts as my good deed for the day?
